Friday Freebie - LOOK AGAIN by Lisa Scottolini

(Cover from Amazon.com)

Today's forecast for St. Peters: Mostly cloudy, high 35 degrees

Friday the thirteenth is an appopriate day to wish you all good luck, especially if you enter a contest sponsored by one of my favorite sites, Bookreporter.com. And I'm not just saying that because I write book reviews and do interviews for them.

Bookreporter.com has 20 advance reading copies of LOOK AGAIN by Lisa Scottoline to give away to readers who would like to preview the book and comment about it. If you are interested, just fill out this form by Friday, March 20th. Hurry! Hurry!

If you've never read any of Lisa Scottolini's books, you are in for a treat, and entering the Bookreporter.com contest is a good (and inexpensive) way to get introduced to her writing, that is if you win. Her suspense thrillers are witty, intelligent, and, of course, suspenseful.

James Patterson calls LOOK AGAIN her "best novel." I can't enter the Bookreporter.com contest because I write reviews for them, so it looks like there will be a trip to the library or book store in my future.

Good luck to everyone who enters! And try not to walk under any ladders today.

  1. I don't know if I'll have time to enter this contest-I've got to write a ghost story by March 31st...something about a sports fanatic who loses all his money betting on the horses, then comes back to haunt his wife (who ran off with the jockey!)

Um, wait. Is that what you're writing? :-)

  2. Hi Cathy,
    I love it! Great idea.
Tomorrow I'm taking my granddaughter Cari (the Irish dancer) to march in the St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown St. Louis. Maybe while I'm drinking green beer I'll flesh out an idea for a ghost story--how about an Irish immigrant who came to America during the Irish Famine, lost his money on a gambling boat on the Mississippi River, and only comes back to haunt gamblers on floating casinos on St. Patrick's Day.
    What do you think?

    P.S.
For the Lisa Scottolini free book contest all you have to do is fill out a form--but if you're a winner the reading and reviewing are what take time.

  3. I think I'm jealous that you get to go to a St. Pat's Parade and drink green beer! (I miss my marching days in the St. Pat's Parade in Savannah. Come to think of it, I kinda miss green beer-but I can remedy that!)

Love your story :-) and thanks for the heads-up about reading and reviewing (re: the book contest). I vowed to catch up on actual writing this month!

    Oh, and Erin go Bragh!
